Welcome to I Think You Should Be Brave

The podcast that reminds you that courage lives within all of us, healing is possible and true power comes when you allow yourself to be fully seen.

Here, you’ll hear the powerful stories of women who dared to be brave — stories of survival, strength, hope and healing. Together, we are rewriting what it means to be brave — one story and one act of courage at a time.

I’m your host, Erin Mills — founder and CEO of Theory Salons, Theory Storehouse, the You Should Be Brave Community, and creator of this podcast. Before any of that, I was a single mother on food stamps, carrying trauma, loss, and PTSD in silence. I went on to build two luxury salons, a team of over 50, and $3 million in annual revenue — but my real breakthrough didn’t come from business success. It came from healing.

Through trauma recovery, Neuro-Identity work, and somatic healing, I learned that success isn’t about what you build on the outside — it’s about what you repair and reclaim on the inside: your nervous system, your voice, your body, your safety, your truth.

That’s why this space exists.

This podcast is for the woman who…

Have walked through fire and found their way back to themself

Cried quietly in the dark but still rose with the sun

Wasn’t protected but became the protector

Had to reparent, rebuild, or resurrect herself

Faced abuse, betrayal, grief, or near-death — and lived to tell the story

Come for the stories, stay for what they awaken in you

The woman behind the mic — and the movement

Erin Mills is the founder and CEO of Theory Salons, Theory Storehouse, the You Should Be Brave Community, and host of the I Think You Should Be Brave Podcast. Once a single mother on food stamps who survived complex childhood trauma, loss, and PTSD, she built her business from nothing into two luxury salons, a team of 50+, and $3 million in annual revenue.

But her real breakthrough didn’t come from business success — it came from her personal healing journey. Through trauma recovery, Neuro-Identity work, and somatic healing, she learned that true success isn’t about what you build on the outside, but what you repair and reclaim on the inside — your nervous system, your voice, your safety, your body.

Erin’s journey from poverty to prosperity, from surviving to thriving, makes her a sought-after voice on entrepreneurship, resilience, and the power of turning survival into success. She reminds us that you are never too late or too broken to become the person you were born to be.
